At Ankara Motors, we are committed to customer satisfaction and stand behind the quality of our vehicles, parts, and services. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be available and the process for requesting a refund. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations regarding refunds.
1. Vehicle Purchase Refunds
1.1 New Vehicle Purchases
Due to the nature of vehicle sales and the fact that vehicles are registered and titled immediately upon purchase, refunds for new vehicle purchases are generally not available. However, we understand that circumstances may arise, and we will work with you to find a satisfactory solution.
If you have concerns about your vehicle purchase within the first 7 days of delivery, please contact us immediately. We may be able to arrange a return or exchange subject to the following conditions:
- The vehicle has not been driven more than 500 kilometers
- The vehicle is in its original condition with no modifications, damage, or excessive wear
- All original documentation, keys, and accessories are returned
- The vehicle has not been registered or titled in your name
- Any applicable restocking fees and costs associated with the return are paid
1.2 Used Vehicle Purchases
Refunds for used vehicles are subject to the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase. Used vehicles are sold "as is" unless otherwise specified in writing. Any warranties or guarantees provided will be honored according to their specific terms.
If a used vehicle is found to have undisclosed defects that materially affect its value or safety, you may be entitled to a refund or compensation within 30 days of purchase, subject to verification of the defect and the vehicle's condition at the time of sale.
1.3 Vehicle Exchange Policy
If you are not satisfied with your vehicle purchase, we may offer an exchange for another vehicle in our inventory, subject to availability and pricing differences. Exchanges must be requested within 14 days of purchase and are subject to the same conditions as refunds.
2. Parts and Accessories Refunds
2.1 Return Period
Unused parts and accessories may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, provided they are:
- In their original packaging
- Unopened and unused
- In original condition with all tags, labels, and documentation
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
2.2 Used or Installed Parts
Parts that have been installed or used cannot be returned for refund unless they are defective or incorrect. Defective parts will be replaced under warranty, and incorrect parts will be exchanged for the correct items.
2.3 Custom or Special Order Parts
Custom or special order parts that are ordered specifically for your vehicle cannot be returned unless they are defective or incorrect. These items are non-refundable once ordered, as they are manufactured or sourced specifically for your order.
2.4 Restocking Fees
Some parts may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price if returned. This fee helps cover the costs of processing returns and restocking items. The restocking fee will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase if applicable.
3. Service Refunds
3.1 Service Work Guarantee
We guarantee all service work performed at our authorized service centers. If you are not satisfied with the quality of service work, please contact us within 30 days of service completion. We will review your concerns and, if the service did not meet our standards, we will:
- Re-perform the service at no additional cost
- Refund the service charge if the issue cannot be resolved
- Provide alternative compensation as appropriate
3.2 Warranty Service
Service work covered under warranty will be performed at no charge. If you have already paid for warranty-covered repairs, you may be eligible for a refund upon verification that the repair was covered under warranty.
3.3 Cancelled Service Appointments
If you need to cancel a service appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Deposits for service appointments will be refunded if cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of deposits.
4. Extended Warranty and Service Plans
4.1 Cancellation Period
Extended warranty and service plans may be cancelled within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no claims have been made under the plan. After 30 days, cancellations may be subject to prorated refunds based on the unused portion of the plan, less any administrative fees.
4.2 Refund Calculation
Refunds for cancelled extended warranties and service plans are calculated as follows:
- Full refund if cancelled within 30 days and no claims have been made
- Prorated refund based on unused months if cancelled after 30 days
- Administrative fees of up to 10% may apply to cancellations after 30 days
- No refund if claims have been made under the plan
5. Deposit and Down Payment Refunds
5.1 Vehicle Deposits
Deposits for vehicle orders or reservations are generally non-refundable unless:
- The vehicle is not delivered within the agreed timeframe
- The vehicle does not meet the agreed specifications
- You are unable to complete the purchase due to circumstances beyond your control (subject to verification)
- Ankara Motors cancels the order for reasons within our control
5.2 Service Deposits
Service deposits are refundable if the service appointment is cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice. Deposits are applied toward the service cost if the appointment is completed.
6. Refund Process
6.1 Requesting a Refund

When requesting a refund, please provide:
- Your name and contact information
- Proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation)

6.2 Refund Review Process
Once we receive your refund request, we will:
- Review your request within 5 business days
- Verify the purchase and eligibility for refund
- Inspect returned items if applicable
- Contact you with our decision and next steps
6.3 Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase whenever possible:
- Credit card payments: Refunded to the original card (5-10 business days)
- Debit card payments: Refunded to the original card (5-10 business days)
- Cash payments: Refunded by check or bank transfer (10-15 business days)
- Financed purchases: Refunded according to financing agreement terms
6.4 Partial Refunds
In some cases, partial refunds may be issued if:
- Items are returned in less than perfect condition
- Items are missing components or accessories
- Returned items show signs of use beyond normal inspection
- Restocking fees apply
Any deductions from refunds will be clearly explained before processing.
7. Non-Refundable Items and Services
The following items and services are generally non-refundable:
- Custom or special order vehicles and parts
- Service work that has been completed satisfactorily
- Extended warranties or service plans after claims have been made
- Gift cards (unless required by law)
- Items damaged due to misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Items returned after the return period has expired
- Vehicles that have been modified, damaged, or excessively used
8. Exchanges
In some cases, we may offer an exchange instead of a refund. Exchanges are subject to:
- Availability of the replacement item
- Payment of any price differences
- Same return conditions as refunds
- Approval by Ankara Motors
9. Shipping and Handling
Original shipping and handling charges are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective item. If you return an item for reasons other than our error or a defect, you are responsible for return shipping costs.
If we made an error or shipped a defective item, we will cover return shipping costs. Please contact us to arrange a prepaid return label in such cases.
10. Dispute Resolution
If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may:
- Request a review by a manager or supervisor
- Submit a formal complaint in writing
- Contact consumer protection authorities if you believe your consumer rights have been violated

11. Legal Rights
This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Turkish law. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights that cannot be excluded or limited by this policy. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law
